Still sick

Well, last Friday I was diagnosed with pnuemonia and put on oxygen and told to stay home - well here is my 2nd week at home and I don't feel like my breathing has gotten any better yet - YUCK!
At least the girls and daddy didn't get it!

Holy Crap! Did ya think I forgot about this thing?

Truth is - with 3 18month olds running around, the only time that I have gotten on the computer is because I have been home for a week with pneumonia - nice right? LOL!

The girls are doing wonderful! They are all walking and talking up a storm - of course we only understand a couple words but thats ok!

They all say Momma and Dadda and Puppy. Individually, Taylor will say Papa and Tay do (which is when she wants to do something herself! LOL) Leigha is our little talker - she says 'Bailey (a friend at school), puppy, Ell -ee (which is her cousin Allison), Hi, bye, Kaylin (for Kaitlyn) Tay Tay (for Taylor) and DiDi (which is anything that is NOT a puppy i.e. Cows/ Cars/ etc.) Kaitlyn says Bye and Hi and she'll say Moooo for milk which I LOVE! So flippen cute! All in all - they are right on track and doing wonderfully!

Here are some pics from our day in the sun! They didn't like the pool initially until I put a sheet over the grass and then they couldn't get enough!

1 in 8 will be affected.....

Hard to believe that out of my close network of friends, that 1 in 8 of will be diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Even harder to believe that it happened!

One of my best friends, Nikki, was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer on March 11, 2010! She is terrified, worried, angry, and every other emotion in the book.....
We are trying to raise money for her and family to help out since she will have to take a lot of time off of work and doesn't have health insurance.

Please visit: thegirlsfornikki.blogspot.com to read about her progress and donate if you're able to!

Breast Cancer is a horrible disease and we all need to fight to help find a cure!
Thanks for reading!!!

First Birthday

Saturday we celebrated the girls First Birthday!!! Oh my GOSH where in the world has this year gone? I can't believe that my babies are already a year old. It feels like yesterday that they came home from the hospital! I remember looking at the clock on Saturday at about 1:10 and thinking, they were born 10 and 15 minutes ago!

We had a party for them and almost everyone came! The best visitors were Uncle Kevin from Seattle and Auntie Jenn from Dallas! We had a great time even though Taylor wasn't feeling 100%. They had cake and ice cream for the first time and LOVED it!

We also took family pictures with Uncle Kevin. The girls would NOT smile to save my life that day - but the pictures turned out awesome anyway!

Here are some of the family and of the party!
Happy Birthday baby girls!! We love you!

How I chose our multiples names...

I saw this on another blog and thought it was fun!

Did you stick with family names?
***We did for the middle names. Their first names were names that we both loved and could agree on.
Taylor’s middle name is Loren which is Chris’s fathers name as well as his middle name.
Leigha’s middle name is Raelyn which is my sisters middle name and my middle name combined (Rae and Lyn).
Kaitlyn’s middle name is LeeAnn which is my Brother in Law and Fathers middle name and my Mother in Law and Mothers middle name combined (Lee and Ann).

How do you feel about "matchy" names?
*** Ok for others – not for us.

Did you worry about their names "coordinating?"
***Not a bit.

Did you name your babies before you met them, or wait until you saw them to assign names?
***We named them before we met them, but their names suit them to a “T”.

What were your second choices?
***We had a tough time agreeing on names that we both liked. I LOVE the names Isabella and Payton and Chris didn’t care for either of those. He liked Constance and I wasn’t having that one! LOL

Did you consider the popularity of a name as a deciding factor?
***Nope – didn’t care.

1 down, 2 to go

Taylor has mastered crawling and going from a laying position to a sitting position all by herself!!! I am so proud of her! She did it all in one weekend! She still rolls a lot more than crawls when she wants something - but she is doing it much more!
Just got to get Kat and Leigha on board and we're mobile!! Gates and baby-proofing here we come!!!

GO TAYLOR GO!!!
