Introducing Mr and Mrs LaMourey.....

In October, one of my very close friends got married! It was a beautiful ceremony and we got to spend the weekend in Cripple Creek celebrating!

It was special for us because not only are both Mark and Stacy friends of ours, but I got to play cupid and set them up! Now they are expecting their first child together and its just a super exciting time in their lives.

In the eyes of the girls......

The girls were asked to draw their families at school. I love how they turned out and how different each one views us.
I love how Leigha has included everyone in the family including the park down the street. My friend Kelly said that her picture is very indicative of a well rounded child. Mommy is the center while daddy is always behind her. She looks up to Taylor, thats why she's up above and she feels like an equal to Kaiti which makes sense since they are twins. Very cool if you look at it that way.

I asked Kaiti why I was a bird and she said that I was Mrs Pteranydon (from Dinosaur Train). Again, I am the center of her world (which I love!) and I'm taking care of everthing.

Taylors view is awesome. I love how I look like a Muppet! She's so silly. The teachers asked her why she didn't draw the rest of her family and she said 'Cuz I don't want to!'
Can anyone say Miss Independant?! LOL

I loved these so much I framed them and they are proudly displayed on my wall. It warms my soul that I am the center of my childrens world - all I want to be in this life is a mother they can look up to.

Happy Birthday Grandma, Brenda!

Today is grandma Brendas birthday! We love you to the moon and back! Thanks for being a wonderful grandma and friend!

More Funny Sayings.......

Last monday we got a freak blizzard last Monday and it took us three hours to get home! It was very nervewracking to say the least!
On the way home, Kaiti said:
"Kaiti: mommy!!! The snow is jacking off! Jacking off is not a good idea. " I almost wrecked the car I was laughing so hard! After clarifying what she said, she MEANT to say that the snow was jacking UP (our ride home) not off. Man! They make me laugh!

March 1, 2013: Leigha to Kaiti:
Don't look at me with that tone in your eyeball. It's yucky! Lmao!!

Convo between Chris and Taylor:
Taylor - bandaides are only for boobies
Chris- they're for booboos. If they're for the other people call you something else.

Me- hysterical laughter. Nice daddy

Dr Seuss Day

March 2nd was Dr. Seuss's 109th birthday. To celebrate, the CDC had all the teachers dress up like a character, they made green eggs and ham and invited the parents to join in and ready a story to the kids.

Gotta tell ya, even though I knew the eggs were just dyed, green eggs are GROSS! I had a stomach ache for an hour after words!!! Probably all in my head but there ya go!

The girls laughed and laughed at all the teachers - they loved it! I loved that the majority of the teachers participated and made it fun for the kids!

"You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself in any direction you choose. You're on your own, and you know what you know. And you are the guy who'll decide where to go.
