Laughing Babies....

The girls were laughing today! It was SO darn cute - of course the minute I get the video recorder out - they stop and start fussing... *huge sigh*
Is it ridiculous to want to record them 24/7? LOL
A BABY'S LAUGHTER

Each time I hear a baby's laughter,
I feel a tickle in my heart.

It makes me smile and listen better,
Catching each note of musical art.

Such innocent laugh in joy released,
A soothing balm for a wearied soul.

All earthly worries seem to ease,
Each baby's laughter makes me whole.

Talking to the Angels

I believe in Angels……I believe that our loved ones can come back after they’ve passed and visit us…. I believe that if we are open to it, we can communicate with them...I believe that babies are open because they don’t know any different and I believe our girls are talking to them when they are on the changing table. Every time we put one of the girls on the changing table, they look up at the ceiling and smile and laugh and talk. It’s one of the cutest things I think I’ve ever seen! We call it “talking to the Angels”. Whether they are actually seeing an Angel or our grandparents or something/one else – who knows – but whatever they are seeing sure does make them laugh! I like to think they are seeing our grandparents and Great Grandpa Howard is making silly faces at them while Great Grandma Betty is getting on him for teasing them. Or they're seeing Great Grandpa Lou who is drawing them pictures of trash trucks and Great Grandma Antoinette is showing them how to make poticia. This gives me comfort to think that my grandparents are looking in on our lives and can see the girls since none of them got to meet them in person.

I hope the girls are bringing as much joy to them as they are to the girls.

Random Thoughts

I know I know... You are all mad as hell because I haven't posted in a while... I am so sorry! Honestly - I am EXHAUSTED! The girls are doing fantastic and gaining weight like crazy! I never thought that I could love them more than I did when they were conceived - but I love them more and more each day! Being a mother is amazing!

Some random things that have been happening lately...

The last time we went to the peditrician the girls weights were:
Kaitlyn - 9lbs 11.5oz
Leigha - 8lbs 15oz
Taylor - 7lbs 15oz

I am quite sure Kat is well over 10 1/2 pounds now - she is getting SO big!

Leigha has started to laugh and she sounds like Woody the Woodpecker!! ROFL! CUTEST damn thing you'll ever hear in your life!!

I think Kat and Lee are right on the verge of sleeping through the night. Our day begins at 4am so I CANNOT wait until the midnight feeding goes away and we can get straight sleep! I am DYING! LOL Taylor will sleep through the night only waking once or twice to have the binkie put back in her mouth. She's such a strong little peanut!

We FINALLY got our stroller cart so we are now mobile! Yippee!!! We used it today to bring the girls into daycare and boy do we make quite the spectacle! LOL It's funny though - everyone just looks at us with really wide eyes! Check it out! Way cool!

The girls met their cousin, Sondra this last weekend. It was nice to be able to introduce them to the extended family. We are going to Sawyers (our youngest nephew) birthday party this weekend at Skate City so they'll meet some more people there! It's really exciting to be able to go out as a family now - we have wanted this for so long and FINALLY we are no longer the outcasts at these types or parties.

We are very excited for the girls to get a bit bigger so that we can start taking them more places. Chris is DYING to be able to really play with them! Speaking of Chris - he is an AWESOME dad! He is so good with the girls and he jumps right in and does whatever needs to be done for them! He is very hands on and told me just a little while ago how much he loved them! It just makes my heart warm to hear that and see him with them. What a wonderful man I married and built a family with!

My first Mothers Day

Yes I know this is a late posting - but I wanted to share this beautiful picture that Chris was able to snap of all 4 of us before Taylor starting hollering! LOL
My first Mothers Day was wonderful! It was a wonderful feeling to be more than just a fur baby momma but I also struggled that day for all my beautiful wonderful friends who were unable to celebrate Mothers Day this year and for whom this day was heartbreaking. I know that infertility has forever shaped me and I am proud of who it has made me, but at the same time, it will always be a very raw emotion for me because we struggled with it for as long as we did and know first hand just how horrible these types of "Hallmark Holidays" really are for us. Yes, I still say "us" because although I have been blessed and lucky enough to come out on the other side of the fight with 3 beautiful daughters, I will NEVER forget what it felt like every year when this day would come around and I would just want to crawl in a hole and die - but I grinned and bore it because My Mother, Mother in Law, and sister deserved to be honored.
So, better late than never, but I say Happy Mothers Day to everyone whether you are a fur baby momma, a God Mother, an Auntie, a daughter, grandmother or mother - we are all mothers to something or someone and our contribution matters in that life.
